Check your vision online
Excellent vision also means a higher quality of life, because vision is our most important sensory organ. About 80% of the impressions we get from our surroundings pass through our eyes. Having regular eye exams performed by an eye care professional is part of preventive health care. Generally speaking, if we have no known eye problems, we should have an eye exam every two years. The ZEISS online vision test can give you an initial understanding of your current vision performance.
Vision Examination
This is a very important examination. Most eyeglass wearers are familiar with this test. The optometrist asks you to read letters or numbers and identify the opening direction of special rings (Landolt rings) - each one is a different size on the screen. The optometrist checks to see if you can easily identify the size of the individual rings. The optometrist will then perform a procedure called subjective refraction. During a free online exam, we will test your vision performance on a screen. This does not replace testing performed by an optometrist. However, you can get preliminary information about your vision. An eye examination is required to determine the refractive power required to correct vision defects in the absence of accommodation (the eye's automatic adjustment to various distances).
Contrast Vision Test
Contrast Vision Test is important in identifying changes that occur in our visual system. For example, changes in contrast sensitivity may be a sign of glaucoma. The second part of the online test is the contrast vision test. This test may be the first time you know that your contrast vision is not as good as expected.
Color Vision Test
In the third part of the online test, you can use the color chart to test your color vision. To diagnose color blindness, eye care professionals use three different tests: pseudoisochromia, Farnsworth's test, and Nagel's color blindness spectroscope.
Astigmatism Examination
Astigmatism is a refractive error in the human eye. The patient's eyes cannot focus light evenly on the retina. Unlike other refractive errors, astigmatism gradually changes with age. Symptoms of astigmatism may include eye strain, headaches, or impaired vision while driving at night. Astigmatism can be corrected with properly fitted glasses or contact lenses.
Visual field examination
Periodus examination is performed using a grid table with a fixed point in the middle and is designed based on the clinically used Amsler test. The grid used for this test should be placed 30 centimeters in front of the eyes to detect problems in the central field of vision. If the grid lines appear distorted, missing, or broken, this indicates an abnormal central field of vision. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are testing on a mobile phone or screen, the dimensions of the Amsler grid may differ from the recommended dimensions.
Please check your vision regularly to catch problems early before they get worse. If your test results are not satisfactory, please contact a registered optometrist at Ocean Eyewear immediately for a more in-depth examination.
